Get Together: Listastundir fyrir alla
An inclusive art gathering for immigrant families and anyone seeking connection and community, taking place in the Gerðuberg library. By getting together, we create a space to imagine a shared future and the kind of ecology we wish to co-inhabit.
Forming part of my MA research in Expressive Arts Therapy, the project has welcomed participants from more than 20 countries since its first launch. The new series begins on October 1, 2026. All are welcome.
Developed in collaboration with GETA and with the generous support of Reykjavík City Library. (2026-present)
Weaving Island Song: Threads of Art, Refugee Voices, and Ecologies of Knowing
This project is rooted in the metaphor of “an island with rich, healthy soil” — a living landscape where diverse voices and cultures can take root. Forming part of my MA research in Expressive Arts Therapy, it offers a welcoming space for refugee children and youth to come together through playful, arts-based sessions.
Through open-ended invitations, participants explored settling, adapting, and finding a sense of home — while building friendships, expressing themselves, and sharing their stories through the arts.
Kindly supported by Andrými, No Borders Iceland, and GETA. (2026)
The Liminal — Expressive Arts Collective Berlin
Bi-weekly creative gatherings for curious minds and bodies, exploring life's ever-changing nature through imagination, collective exploration, and a range of expressive arts modalities in a supportive group setting.
Co-founder. (2023-2026)
A Place to Land: Creativity in Times of Transition
An expressive arts therapy group for refugees and asylum seekers in Iceland, exploring how creative expression can offer grounding, connection, and belonging while holding grief and gently processing trauma. The learnings and insights from the project were shared at New Frontiers Conference in 2025.
Supported by the Icelandic Red Cross. (2024-present)
Bodily Explorations in Quantum Transformation
What does it mean to know, and how can knowing lead to transformation? How might quantum social theory inform processes of change? And how can the creative arts contribute to transformation at cellular, personal, and societal levels?
Together with artists from around the world, we explored these questions through expressive arts and embodied practices, inviting new ways of sensing, knowing, and encountering change.
A research lab at the Summer University of Performing Arts Forum. Saint-Erme-Outre-et-Ramecourt, France. (2023)
